Current Issues in the CLO Market

New issuances of U.S. collateralized loan obligations (“CLOs”) were approximately $70 billion in 2016, a year marked by major themes such as the U.S. risk retention rule becoming effective and continuing uncertainty about how the EU’s risk retention requirements would be modified as part of the “STS” process. In this chapter, published in the 2017 edition of The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Securitisation, partners Craig Stein and Paul N.
