Schulte partner Anna Maleva-Otto’s presentation on data privacy and AI regulation featured in Integrity Research Associates 

Schulte Roth and Zabel partner Anna Maleva-Otto was recently featured in the Integrity Research Associates article, "Data Regulators in China, the UK, and Europe Are Making Moves – What Alternative Data Users Should Know." The article included highlights from Anna’s presentation on data privacy and AI regulation  at Eagle Alpha’s alternative data-focused workshop for asset managers. She discussed the 2023 developments in the safeguards applicable to personal data transfers between Europe and the United States.

Anna also examined the differences in AI regulation in the UK, which works within existing frameworks of data protection and operational resilience, compared to the EU, which is establishing the AI Act, a comprehensive regulatory framework intended to regulate AI across all sectors.
