SRZ Represents GoldenTree Asset Management LP in Raising Distressed Fund IV

Schulte Roth & Zabel represented GoldenTree Asset Management LP in raising $3 billion in commitments for its Distressed Fund IV. Distressed Fund IV, which reached its hard cap and is oversubscribed, invests in distressed, stressed and special situation assets. GoldenTree is a 100% employee-owned, global asset management firm that specializes in opportunities across the credit universe in sectors such as high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, private credit, distressed debt, structured products, emerging markets, private equity and credit-themed equities. GoldenTree was founded in 2000 and is one of the largest independent global credit asset managers, and currently manages over $47 billion.
SRZ's team was led by investment management partner Stephanie Breslow and special counsel Daniel Blumenthal, and also included tax partner Shlomo Twerski, employment and employee benefits partner Ian Levin, investment management associates Yehuda Ness and Hinda Korenblit, and tax associates Bryson Kern and Yeshaya Schapira.
